Your morning begins with a flight to northern Ethiopia, opening the way to the stark and mesmerizing landscapes of the desert region. During the day, you will undertake an extended journey through one of the country’s most extraordinary natural zones, with a stop at a vivid salt lake, where the contrast of white minerals, turquoise waters, and golden sand creates almost surreal landscapes, perfect for observation and photography. By evening, you will arrive at a remote settlement amid volcanic plains, spending the night in a campsite under the open sky, enjoying the silence, starry heavens, and the full immersion in the wild nature around you.

- Hike to Erta Ale volcano
- Overnight at the campsite by the volcano
After an early departure from the campsite, you will travel to one of the most extreme corners of the planet, where vivid mineral fields and volcanic formations create almost otherworldly landscapes. Along the way, you will witness traditional salt mining sites as well as camel caravans crossing the desert. By evening, you will ascend to the active Erta Ale volcano, where you will observe a living lava lake at the edge of the crater. The night will be spent camping near this magnificent natural wonder.
